Snake bites

Venomous snakes (brown, tiger and others) are active in warmer months. Signs in pets: sudden collapse then apparent recovery, dilated pupils, drooling, tremors. This is an emergency — keep the pet calm and go straight to the nearest emergency vet. Prevention: clear yard debris, keep dogs leashed in bush, consider snake-avoidance training in high-risk areas.
