Dog parks in the City of Sydney

The City of Sydney council area has around 50 designated off-leash dog parks and reserves across inner-city suburbs including Glebe, Alexandria, Surry Hills, Redfern and Pyrmont. Dogs can run free in signed off-leash areas but are banned from playgrounds, sports courts and enclosed ovals (fines up to $330), and owners must pick up after their dogs (fines up to $275). Some parks such as Redfern Park and Rushcutters Bay Park are off-leash only at set times — check the on-site signs before you go.
