Cats and dogs must be microchipped and registered with your council; cats must also be sterilised; dog registration is 1-year, 3-year or lifetime.

Renting with pets

Since the 2024 reforms tenants may keep pets with consent that can't be unreasonably withheld; a pet bond may apply.
